The 15 year-old Portland native raced his Honda Civic under lights at Dubbo Speedway on Saturday, May 29 in the Racing Sedans Australia NSW Junior All Stars Sedan Title.
He placed first out of 24 cars and it turned out to be a perfect night for the young racer, winning all heats and his feature.
"I did fall back one spot off the start but managed to get back into the race," Healey said.
"Lead lap traffic was hectic with lapping cars five or six wide, I made a mistake with a lap car to go around outside and tapped him which spun him, I knew I stuffed up and deserved to get put back for my actions."
Healey said he got what he deserved at the restart being put back to third place and copped it on the chin.
"I knew I had to put my head down and get on with the job, my first restart I got spun out and ended up on the infield but my second attempt was much better," he said.
Healey battled through to get into the top four position before claiming back the lead with one lap to go.
"...and damn that was a good feeling," he said.
He said it was great to win another title and another thing to add to his racing resume.
The NSW Title success was Healey's 66th career feature-race win over his four seasons so far in his young speedway career, which has mainly been in RSA Junior Sedans but also a short stint in Junior Formula 500s.
Being Healey's last race in the junior competition he was honoured to finish on a high and looked forward to moving up to production sedans in October.
"That's the end of my junior racing and the Honda Civic was sold right after the race meeting so we came home with an empty trailer. I'll post next season's car sometime soon," he said.
Healey congratulated second on the podium Ryley Smith and Sam Mooney who placed third.
He thanked his mum Sue and dad Ray, and pit crew Brendon Miles and Shane Duggan, Jake and Phil Clark for their continued support.
He also wanted to thank his 2020/21 season sponsors.
