Students at the school are currently preparing for their annual musical and they couldn't be more excited.
Over 20 students have been preparing since February and rehearse three times a week including Sunday's.
They also spend countless lunch times in the music room working on songs, while many other students are working on painting the sets and making props.
"I think we are progressing at a decent rate, I mean it could be worse," student William Grantham said.
They only have two and a half weeks before their official opening night on Thursday, June 17.
"It's a spectacular experience and a very strange and interesting show," student Joss Arkley-Smith said.
Kelly Hyland said she always loved coming to watch Lithgow High musicals so when she came to the school she couldn't wait to audition.
"It's just a really fun show to do," she said.
When asked what part of the show they enjoyed the most, some of the students said there was a scene with a dentist the audience might enjoy, but they would have to come and find out for themselves.
On whether they would be ready in time for opening date, there was only one answer.
"We have to be ready on time, we have no choice but to be ready," William Grantham said.

Videography will taken by Mr Grilli and the poster will be designed by Mrs Brownlow.
The sets for the play are grand, and musical director Brett Jeffers said that the TAS department had a big hand in making them.
All except for the Venus flytrap of course.
"That has travelled around everywhere, I'm sure it has seen better days but it looks great when we used it," he said.
"Big set peices like that tend to travel around, so we bought it from another school and they got it from Adelaide."
Mr Jeffers said he was extremely proud of the children participating in the musical.
"These kids are amazing and fantastic in their dedication to the musical, this is not an easy play to learn and they give up time after school and on Sunday to rehearse," he said.
"This is the kind of opportunity that Lithgow High wants to give back to the kids and we love them for what they're doing."
Little Shop of Horrors is a fun a poignant tale about the love between a young man and a young woman, and the plant that wants to eat them.
Little Shop of Horrors will be performed on June 17, 18, 19 at 7pm and Sunday, June 20 at 1pm in the Lithgow High School Hall.
In addition to the four public performances, there will be primary school matinees in Week Nine as well.
