The Great Western Highway remains all but closed after a two-truck crash near Hartley, with one driver transported to hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics as a result of the accident.

Both eastbound lanes are closed on the highway along with one westbound lane with diversions in place, emergency services responded to initial reports at about 5.30am and remain on site along with traffic control staff.
Paramedics treated assessed and treated both drivers on site following the accident, with one transported to Lithgow Hospital with only minor injuries.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area and expect delays, with the NSW Transport Management Centre also advising drivers to use diversions.

The diversion remaining in place is for eastbound traffic, to use Main Street, Chifley Road and Darling Causeway to Mount Victoria.
