And it's all in one little design failure - glaring headlights.
With the height of the lights the old dimming rules seem to have gone by the wayside and the constant glare is a danger to anyone unlucky enough to be heading their way.
Manufacturers were allowed to get away with this obvious design problem and it's probably too late to put the genii back in the bottle.
Still, some solution has to be found in the interests of road safety - and road rage.
And there's no escape; the glare is as bad in the rear vision mirror as it is in approaching traffic.
It's an issue starting to stir real public concern as highlighted with the number of calls to talk back radio in recent days.
Not up to standard
ON a related subject many will see it as overdue when a blitz was carried out the other day in our region sorting out illegally modified 4WDs, particularly those raised to alarming levels above factory suspension.
We've wondered for years how they get away with driving something that looks like a leftover from a Mad Max episode and would overshadow a Kenworth.
