No one knows better than the locals.
In an effort to find the best that the Lithgow area has to offer, from best place to go for a walk to best hangover breakfast, the Lithgow Mercury is using the power of social media to ask the community to nominate the best of the best.
This week we asked who had the best burger in town.
Locals know best:
The Fast Fox, Main Street Lithgow.
Fast Fox owner Holly Vatalis said she was estatic to find out they had been voted the place that sold the best burgers in town.
"It feels really good to be recognised, we use all local meat and we try and be very creative with our burger specials," she said.
Holly said they needed to thank their customers for all of the support.
"Thank you for voting for us and to our regular customers for continually supporting our business," she said.
"We will try to keep making Lithgow's best burgers."
Laura Vatalis said she didn't know about the survey until two days ago.
"I kept seeing the takeaways being voted for so I thought we definitely didn't win," she said.
"But it is relieving since we are a burger shop."
A customer who was waiting for his burger said he believed they had the best burger.
"That's why I'm here everyday," he said.
The Fast Fox has new opening hours starting at 6.30am.
They will be doing a $10 bacon and egg roll with a coffee between 6.30 and 8am to get the ball rolling.
