Playing against 128 bowlers from clubs all over NSW, Metcalf saw herself take win after win in a wonderful achievement making the top four.
To make the competition, you have to win a club championship.
"I was the Lithgow Workies major single titles winner of 2020, this event had to be postponned due to COVID but I am glad we got to play eventually," she said.
"You never know if you will be Club Champion again so I thought I had try and get further because any experience is a learning experience."
Metcalf said she was lucky she didn't have to play on the first day of the four day event.
"My first game I was probably very nervous, but I didn't know anyone so that was probably a good thing," she said.
"It wasn't until after the game did I find out I beat a person who had recently qualified for the NSW team so I was chuffed."
Metcalf played bowlers from all over NSW, including Cabramatta, Bomaderry, Merimbula, Toongabbie and Neutral Bay.

"I got to the semi finals and was against Kay Moran who is a state player but I went down 25-18," she said.
"I didn't know she was a state player, so ignorance is bliss as they say, it really helped not knowing because I couldn't get more nervous."
Metcalf started bowls in 2013 and said she 'absolutely loves it'.
"I love the lady bowlers at the Lithgow Workies Club and I would like to thank them for sponsoring me to go to this event," she said.
"I would also like to thank my side bowlers for supporting me and wanting me to do well."
The Lithgow Workies Women bowlers were full of praise for Metcalf.
"She has deserved her success as she puts in a tremendous amount of time improving her bowls," they said.
"Workies women and men's club are very proud of her great achievement, congratulations Sue."
