That is what Lithgow Girl Guides did when they took part in the annual Clean Up Australia Day last Monday.
While Clean Up Australia Day isn't until Sunday, March 7 the girls got in early to do their part for the Lithgow community.
Guide leader Cheryl Rutherford said the guides collected a good amount of rubbish along the sporting fields from the Girl Guide Hall to Lithgow Pool.
"These eager girls performed the task on either side of the street right up to the boundary fence to the railway corridor," she said.
"They have continued to beautify this area each Clean Up Day."
