In just a few weeks time Tony Luchetti Showground will host the 2021 Lithgow Show and organisers are excited to be going ahead.
"It's great to be actually running this year after not being able to go ahead last year due to COVID-19," show secretary Vanetta Renshaw said.
Lithgow Show is booked for the weekend of March 19 and 20 but there has also been a Foodies Truck event booked for the weekend before the show on March 14 at the showground.
Ms Renshaw said the show society were feeling a little disappointed at the timing of the other event, but it was unavoidable.
"If it was any other weekend we'd be the first to share and support it, we're not against it, we encourage it.
"It's just the inconvenience of timing. We welcome the Foodies trucks, we are just disappointed that it's the weekend before our show."
Despite the almost clashing of events, Ms Renshaw said people could expect to see a jam-packed lineup of entertainment at this year's Lithgow Show.
More Lithgow news:
"We've got four new major attractions with the Aussie FMX bikes, Walter Whip and The Flames, Thunder and Hooves and Roving Dinosaurs," she said.
"We'll also have the usual attractions, stalls, pavilion exhibits, the Capertee Valley Helicopter rides and much more," she said.
Ms Renshaw encouraged people to enter their produce, arts and crafts, cakes and photography into the exhibits.
"We really encourage people to enter things into the pavilion because if we don't have interest in the pavilion it just doesn't make a display," she said.
She said local people's support was crucial in the future running of Lithgow Show.
"It's going to come down to the fact that if local people don't support us this year, we are going to struggle for numbers.
"We encourage outside stakeholders but I'd like to think 75 per cent of our stakeholders are from local families and local businesses so therefore the money stays local," she said.
Ms Renshaw encouraged people to head down to Lithgow Show and see all that's on offer.
"We really need our locals to support us.
"We have all this wonderful entertainment, come cuddle a dinosaur, come take a helicopter ride and put entries into the pavillion," she said.
"Everybody come to the show, please, support our locals and support our local show."
Ms Renshaw said this year's show had been registered as a NSW Government COVID-safe event.
"We have a QR code upon arrival and a COVID-safe action plan, so people can expect to feel safe and have a good time at this year's show," she said.
