The top-of-the-table clash between Sharnie's Boys and Charolais, with both going in unbeaten, was anticipated to produce a tight result, but Charolais were never in it.
Sharnie's Boys floored their opponents by racing through the first five rubbers 10 games to three. Charolais stemmed the tide momentarily to close the gap to 10-5, but the Boys coasted to the finish line, 17-9.
Leon Rust led Sharnie's Boys to victory with a round-best 6-2 record, and received good support from Mick Wagner (5-3) and Sharnie Roberts (4-4).
Mark McAulay (5-3) was the only Charolais player to find positive territory, while Sean Jenkins dropped three close 2-1 decisions to go 3-6 and Kelly Gurney struggled for 1-6.
