A man has faced court charged after allegedly threatening police at Lithgow Police Station this week.
Police say at about 10.40pm on Monday, 8 February, a man entered the foyer of Lithgow Police Station, carrying a large axe and with a knife tucked into his clothing.
The man confronted police, allegedly threatening officers.
Following negotiations, he was tasered and arrested before being taken to Lithgow Hospital for assessment.
Upon being discharged yesterday, Tuesday 9 February, the man was taken to Lithgow Police Station and charged with armed with intent commit indictable offence, four counts of Intimidate police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm, and custody of knife in public place.
He appeared at Lithgow Local Court yesterday and has been formally refused bail to appear at the same court tomorrow, Thursday 11 February.
