The show is part of the Midsummer Boho's Micro Festival at Lithgow Pottery Art School.
Contenders, written by local wordsmith Rupert Grech, is a selection of vignettes adapted for the stage by Greer Ashworth.
It is a window into the lives and loves of others as they pass through a cafe under the watchful eye of the Matre de, played by Martin Curtis.
With a cast of characters that you will recognise with affection (or some dismay) you are guaranteed to an entertaining afternoon.

The Lithgow Art School at the Old Lithgow Pottery on Silcock Street is hosting Lithgow Theatre Group as part of their Midsummer Boho Micro Festival.
There will be an art exhibition titled Polar Opposites by Ashleigh Bucholtz and Art School director, Jillian Ashworth.
Music will be provided by Lounge Catz and Hot Club de Katoomba and food will be available.
Theatre Group will perform at 4pm on the outdoor stage.
Doors open at 11am and the cost is $20 for adults and $5 for children under 15.
Bring an esky and a picnic rug and settle in for a most enjoyable day.
