That's how photographer Karen Edwards' describes the annual Great Santa Hat Challenge she organises in Hartley.
For its fourth year in a row the challenge will return to Hartley Historic Village on Sunday, December 13.
Ms Edwards said with the tough year its been with bushfires and COVID-19 it would be a nice way to start the festive season.
"It's nice that we are able to, once again have the Santa hat challenge here in Hartley," she said.
"Christmas has always been my favourite time of year, it is a little magical, the spirit of Christmas that is. People seem a little kinder and we sure need more of that in this world," she said.
Ms Edwards encouraged residents to dust off their Santa hats, grab family, friends and of course your furry friends that can be leashed to gather outside the Old Hartley Post Office at 10.45am for an official head count at 11am.
"Then we will follow Archie the pony and his owner Wendy up the pathway to create another awesome photo of as many people and fur babies wearing Santa Hats at one time," she said.

COVID-19 restrictions will be in place and social distancing will be adhered to, Ms Edwards said.
"We will be doing everything we need to, to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time," she said.
Ms Edwards said if you don't have a Santa hat, not to worry.
"We've got you covered, you can purchase one on the day with all proceeds going to 'Team Wonder Women Mystery Box Rally', raising funds for cancer research," she said.
She also encouraged people to stay, relax and shop in the Hartley village.
"You can do some Christmas shopping at the village galleries and enjoy all the village has to offer.
"Bring a picnic lunch or take a short stroll along the beautiful boardwalk down to the river," she said.
"The village offers something for everyone."
