Waldings team jumped out to a quick start against Butlers team and after seven ends was leading 14-2, with their lead, Tattersall putting down consistent bowls and Slattery and Walding consolidating.

On the next end with Butlers team holding four shots, Gwyn Walding put down a bowl that took the jack into the ditch and won him the end.
