World Movie - The Voyage (1974) Rated PG Italy
The Voyage is a romantic drama starring Sophia Loren and Richard Burton. Set in Sicily during the period leading up to WWII, the story is about the love between Adriana De Mauro (Sophia Loren) and Cesar Braggi (Richard Burton).
Cesar is forced to set aside his affection and love for Adriana so his brother, Antonio (Ian Bannen) can marry her according to the wishes of their father.
As fate would have it, Antonio is killed in an automobile accident and Adriana's mourning ends when Cesar steps in to rekindle their relationship.
This is soon crushed when Adriana falls ill and Cesar assists her to a specialist who discovers that she has an incurable disease.
Nevertheless, Cesar continues to woo her and eventually proposes to her on a gondola. The only person who stands in their way however, is Adriana's mother who disapproves of their relationship.

Classic Movie - Devotion (1946)
Devotion is a romantic drama based upon the Bronte family. In Victorian England two of the Bronte sisters, Emily and Charlotte vie for the affection of the vicarage's curate, the Reverend Arthur Nichols.
Together with their sister, Anne, they also try to help their brother, Branwell, a tormented and gifted painter who is gradually destroyed by alcohol.
All three sisters write their novels using their own heartaches as inspirations but nevertheless each faces their own series of tragedies.
It is Arthur Nichols who helps Emily and Charlotte publish their successful novels, Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre.
