Lost and found
Simone Maurice gave a big shout on Facebook to thank "the person who found my key card in Woolies car park, may you and your family have a wonderful Christmas."
Pamella Campbell commented on the post her own good news.
"I have to say Woolies be the best place to lose something I had my wallet handed in with a decent amount of cash and all cards all intact I didn't think I would get the cards back let alone the cash."
Spread the cheer everyone and do a good deed, you never know whose day you may make better.
Happy Birthday
It's not everyday someone turns 103 years-old.
Lithgow's oldest resident continues to feather in the cap of the community, recently celebrating her 103rd birthday and Lithgow Mayor, Ray Thompson had the privilege of wishing Dulcie Kearns a happy birthday recently.
Mayor Thompson invites anyone in the Local Government Area who knows someone who is reaching the 100 year or over milestone to contact his assistant Trinity Newton at Council
Dog reunited with owner
This friendly pup was roaming around looking lost at 7Eleven and Lithgow McDonald's on Wednesday evening, November 18.
A local took to Facebook in the hope to find its owner and thanks to the power of social media, Mia the kelpie was reunited with her owner safe and sound.

Hungry Jacks shows community spirit with food donation to LINC
Giving back to the community; that's part of Hungry Jacks motto.
On Tuesday, December 1, team members from Hungry Jacks around the Central West came to Lithgow Information and Neighbourhood Centre (LINC) to give them a huge donation.

Mia blows past her fundraising goal for McGrath Foundation
Mia Simpson is eight years old, goes to St Patrick's School in Lithgow and on Saturday will be cutting off 38 centimetres of her beloved hair.
Mia has been growing her hair for quite some time and has decided to chop a fair chunk of it off all in the name of helping others.

Lithgow Correctional Centre inmate talks about finding pride in work in industry
Lithgow Correctional Centre inmates have made more than 8000 tea towels for local business Mount Vic and Me.
"It gives me a sense of purpose and I try to make it the best quality I can," a Lithgow Correctional Centre inmate said.

Lithgow Bears look back on the year at annual presentation night
The Lithgow Bears Rugby League Football Club held their 38th Annual Presentation Night last Friday night at the Lithgow Workies Club.
After a tough year beginning with bushfires though to COVID-19, it was unknown as to whether sport competitions in general would go ahead.
