Lithgow Aged Care is continuing to ensure that its residents have a variety of leisure and lifestyle activities during the current pandemic.
The Living Well Team have organised bus trips for residents, a full activity schedule each week and plenty of celebrations including birthdays, crazy sock day, Liptember, crazy hair day, R U OK? Day and much more.
These events and celebrations have been incredibly successful in creating a fun and supportive environment to share stories and many laughs.
Living Well coordinator Kathy York said it was wonderful to see residents come together and celebrate.
"...Especially during these difficult times. We have an amazing team who thrive on bringing joy to the residents," she said.
Resident Lynne O'Donnell said having something to do everyday was fun.
"The exercises are fun and the cooking and chocolate making are great, I'm really enjoying the social aspects," she said.
Fellow resident Dianne Kinkade thanked the Living Well Team for the work that they do.
"The Living Well Team does a good job, they are all lovely and the activities are good," she said.
Residents are looking forward to more celebrations and events that are being planned for the Bathurst races, Oktoberfest and National Bandana day.
Community members can keep up to date with what the residents are doing via the Lithgow Aged Care Living Well Team Facebook page.
