So, in an effort to try to brighten your day, we've started a project to put together a 'Good News Diary' full of the most positive stories and comments from the Lithgow Mercury every week.
This new initiative is something we endeavour to do each Friday, so if you've got some good news share it with us.
The Good News community board

At 4:30am on Thursday, September 10 police located the above three puppies abandoned at a truck stop at Cullen Bullen.
Police took the puppies back to Lithgow Police Station where they were given food, water and enjoyed a nice warm heater.
The adorable puppies have been re-homed.
Fame in town

Ray Meagher, or you may know him as Alf Stewart came to town earlier this month.
The Home and Away star stopped in at Wollemi Bakery and Cafe.
