It has been a quiet week at the Lithgow Golf Club with the Saturday event cancelled due to snow and rain.

The course was already saturated from days of heavy rain and golfers would have appreciated spending the day at home away from the freezing temperatures.
The Lithgow Vets played their monthly event earlier in the week with a good field trudging through the heavy wet conditions.
The winner with 37 points was Paul Bosman who carried on his good form from the previous week when he teamed up with Steve Hall to register an eight under par in the Keno ambrose and win their way to the regional final.
Bosman who plays off a handicap off eight has been in a rich vein of form played some excellent golf in the trying conditions.
Runner up to Bosman was Rod Clarke on 32 points off a handicap of a handicap of 15.
Others to play well were Rob Ritchie, Leo Murnane, Dave Muir, Dave Titcume, Jeff Geddes and Glenn Campbell.
The next Lithgow Vets day is set down for Monday, September 14.
There were a few hardy golfers who ventured out during the week which saw the following results:
The winner of the Wednesday, August 19 nine hole competition was Ken Mitchell on 19 points.
The voucher went to Carlos Garibotto and the nearest to the pin was Dave Duroux.
The winner of the Friday, August 21 nine hole competition was Rob George who scooped the pool taking out a win with 24 points and also the nearest to the pin.
Saturday's event is the popular monthly medals.
