Large boulders fell onto the roadway just before 10am leaving the road blocked between Duckmaloi and Hampton roads.

Transport for NSW crews are on scene and motorists have been told to avoid the area and use an alternative route until further notice.

Access to Jenolan Caves Road is available via Oberon.

Meanwhile Jenolan Caves Road is also closed between Boggy Creek Road and Caves House due to adverse weather conditions.

Live Traffic advises that this section of road will remain closed until further notice due to predicted heavy rainfall and ongoing instability of the slopes following last summer's bushfires.

Diversions are available via Edith Road from Oberon. This diversion is limited to 12-seat buses with no trailers or caravans. This road is unsafe for vehicles larger than a 12-seat bus.
