Meadow Flat's Will Hazzard wins Coles' national bag design competition
The 19 year-old Meadow Flat resident will have his striking artwork of a yellow-tail black cockatoo on reusable chiller bags, set to be sold at Coles supermarkets across Australia from this week.

Residents and businesses of Lithgow will soon be able to welcome back visitors to the Zig Zag Railway, due to the NSW Government funded bushfire clean-up program.

Black Gold Motel receives another award
Black Gold Motel has been awarded the Trip Advisor 2020 Travellers Choice "Best of the Best" Award for Service.
"We are truly humbled by the award, but want to make it very clear that without each and every one of our amazing staff completing every task and customer interaction with care, love and attention to detail, this would simply not exist," a post to the Black Gold Motel Facebook page read.
"Thanks to the community for supporting us as always, we live in a very special part of the world and we should be very proud of who we are as a community and where we are from."
Netball Award Time
Jennifer Featherstone (pictured) and Samara Kirkland received Workies Diamonds Week One Player of the Day award for excellent shooting skills.
Lithgow City Women's Bowl's
The Lithgow City Women played Western District Pairs at the Lithgow Workies with a few teams who all played good bowl's but none reached the final.
They then played Western District Singles at Majellan, they had two players in this but did not reach the finals. All players played good bowls.
The women have been advised that they can not have their Allan's day or our Higgin's day this year. The only other thing they can do is play their social games at the moment.
