L.A.S.A secretary Dianne Stait apologised for the cancellation due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
"We are sorry but for the safety of our players and the venues we must," she said.
She said no club could afford a fine at this time under the advice of Clubs Australia.
"They [Clubs Australia] will advise us when it is safe to continue if we can.
"So please keep an eye on Facebook and the L.A.S.A website to be advised if we can restart the competition," Ms Stait said.
She said people's safety was more important and she didn't want to put people or local clubs at risk.
"If we lost one of our clubs it would be worse, so please be patient and if worse comes to worse we can start up again next year," she said.
