The good fields continued for Saturday's stroke medal round at the Lithgow Golf Club with some very good scores being returned, especially in C grade.

The best nett score of the day went to young Nathan Marshall who is one of the club's good prospects.
Already he has enjoyed success in his young career having been a part of the last winning VW ambrose team and there is plenty more wins ahead of him.
Nathan is one of Lithgow's talented representative hockey players and has taken the opportunity to play more golf while hockey is in limbo.
He carded the nett score of 66 nett to take out the C grade medal and voucher. Runner up was another good prospect in Mitchell Wallace on 70 nett with Luke Oldfield returning the best C grade scratch score with 91.
Damien Marjoram showed his all round talents winning the A grade voucher and medal with a 67 nett.
This was a top round with Marjoram shooting a sub par round of 71. But the best scratch score on a countback went to Steve Hall who shot a three under par 69.
In B grade, Michael Saville counted out Eli Felton for the voucher with both golfers finishing on 71 nett.
The pair will play off next month for the medal with Saville also picking up the best scratch score with a 83.
The winner of the Wednesday, June 17 nine hole competition was Rob George on 20 points ocb. Runner up went to John Griffiths on 20 and Tom Jennings on 19.
Vouchers cut out on 15 ocb and they went to Bill and Ben Oldfield, Steve Mays, Anthony Oldfield, Ken Durie, Mark Willmott, Trevor Cameron, Paul Bosman, Dave Muir, Les Barnes, Tony Potts and Kev Hughes.
The winner of the Friday, June 19 nine hole competition was Paul Stewart on 22 points ocb. Runner-up was Nick Bender on 22 ocb and Bill Oldfield on 22 ocb.
Vouchers went to those with 16 points and better and they were Steve Mays, Jeff Geddes, Harry Bender, John Bird, Trevor Cameron, Leo Murnane and Steve Lewicki.
One of the major events on the golfing calendar is the Zig Zag Motel Winter Cup with the Motel again one of the club's valued sponsors and the Golf Club thanks them for their continued support.
