Lithgow City Women's Bowling club was saddened to hear of the passing of their Patron Shirley Addison who had been a member of the club since 1969.

Shirley began playing bowls in 1967, and was a valued member.
She also got the Ladies together to have a concert at the end of year starting in 1978 and 1979 before doing the concerts again in 1983, 1985 and continuing right up until 1997 at Damara Hall.
Shirley also held the positions of Publicity Officer in the 80's and Historian for many years. Shirley was also on the social committee in 1988.
But Shirley was also a talented bowls player, being part of the winning fours championship in 1990, as well as being in the winning team of fours for Allan's Day in 1998.

Shirley also was a part of the winning triples team for Higgins Bowls Day in 1998. In 1998 she was also presented with a gift for her work with the end of year concerts.
In 2004 Shirley won the club fours once again.
When Shirley wasn't feeling well, she started playing social bowls and was a patron of the club for the last 10 to 12 years.
Shirley was a beautiful singer and will be sadly missed by all of the bowlers and her family and friends.
