The alert lift comes just in time for the June long weekend with Lithgow's Lake Lyell recreation park fully booked out with keen campers, following easing coronavirus restrictions.
With the reduced presence of blue green algae in the water, Lake Lyell is now suitable for water activities that involve direct contact by humans or animals.
Sampling of the lake will continue and an updated alert status will be reported when information becomes available.

Lake Lyell were also excited to announce on its Facebook page that the lake was the most full it's been in years.
"The lake is nearly overflowing it's that full. We're so excited to see everyone on June 1st," they posted.
