A 72 year-old man has died after his 4WD crashed on a property in the Kanimbla Valley on Tuesday afternoon, May 19.
Emergency services were called to the property on Cullenbenbong Road, near Blackheath around 5pm, after the body of a man was located.
Police said concerned friends attended the property for a welfare check of the man.
The Lithgow Mercury understands friends found the man deceased in rugged bushland, approximately 150 metres from where his 4WD had rolled down a steep embankment.
Officers attached to Chifley Police District established a crime scene and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway, however, initial inquiries suggest there are no suspicious circumstances.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
