In response, one local basketball trainer has come up with a unique and creative way to keep local basketballers engaged with the sport.
Ba11er Elite owner and WRAS head coach Adam Marjoram will be running a series of online basketball challenges.
There will be two challenges a week, set on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which will be filmed and posted to the Ba11er Elite Facebook page.

Marjoram said the challenges are to be completed at home, enabling kids to keep safe and become better basketball players.
"The challenges will focus on different aspects of the game such as shooting and defence.
"They will enable kids to feel like they're still part of the basketball community while all training and competitions are suspended," he said.
He said all basketball players in the Central West including Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, West Wylong and Griffith were invited to take part in the challenges.
There will also be prizes for challenge winners.
