
Lithgow Community Housing and Wentworth Community Housing have announced that they will integrate under the Wentworth Community Housing banner to enhance services to the Lithgow community.

The Chair of Wentworth, Ken Gilbert, said they would maintain and strengthen services delivered to the Lithgow community.
"Wentworth and Lithgow Community Housing share a similar vision of providing secure and affordable housing and services to the community," he said.
"Tenant and client well-being are at the forefront of our work. We are working closely with Lithgow Community Housing to support the transition to an integrated business with minimal interruption to stakeholders, the business operations and service delivery."
Lithgow Community Housing's Chair, Brian Kinney believes this will open up the potential to expand affordable housing in Lithgow.

"We believe working together strengthens our ability to create more housing opportunities for those in need," he said.
"We look forward to exploring opportunities in Lithgow through the development of affordable properties to increase housing supply in the area."
For Lithgow Community Housing's tenants and employees, it is business as usual.

Bev Wiggins, Lithgow Community Housing's long-standing manager said that their tenants and the community wouldn't notice any major changes when they open the office under Wentworth's banner on Tuesday, March 31.
"We will be working with the same contractors and local community service providers," she said.
"I'm really excited to work with Wentworth to continue to deliver much needed housing to our tenants and services to the Lithgow community."
