Weatherzone is predicting up to 100 millimetres of rain could fall in Lithgow from Tuesday until Sunday before the rain clouds clear.
The heaviest rain will fall earlier in the week with a 90 per cent chance of 10-20mm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 80 per cent chance of 20-40mm on Thursday.
While from Friday to Sunday, there's an 80-90 per cent chance of rain each day with 5-10mm possible.
So far this month no rain has been recorded in Lithgow, but the median for March is 83.9mm.
Meanwhile, the entire Central Tablelands remains in drought, with 50.7 per cent of this region in intense drought.
