In the match between Summer and Spring, team mates Carol Osborne and Jill Young enjoyed a 5-4 set win with great net coverage and consistent cross court returns.
However well placed serves by Lorraine Dowler and long rallies by Val Henry ensured Summer's 32-22 victory.
It was an even match between Winter and Autumn, with the first two sets being 5-4 for both teams.
For Autumn endless stamina by Leanne Ferguson combined with clever passing shots by Pat Kearns started the day with a 7-2 win.
Winter responded with a 7-2 win by Kerry Higlett whose speed around the court was complimented with Margaret Donachie's well placed returns.
The final score for this match was a draw, the heat of the day causing health problems for the players who agreed to not play the final sets.
Round 2 and Round 3 were cancelled due to the rain.
It was a pleasant Summer day for round 4 with Summer v Spring and Winter v Autumn.
