Grippers took on the winless TreeHuggers and the opening exchanges went to form with Grippers taking the first four rubbers all 2-1 for a handy 8-4 lead.
TreeHuggers gave themselves some hope, closing the gap to 9-6, but Grippers kicked again and were untroubled in recording a convincing 19-11 triumph.

Spinners appeared to be doing it in a canter against Charolais when they won the first four rubbers by a combined eight games to three.
Charolais found their feet though, producing an 8-0 run to hit the front to stay at 11-8, and they held on to complete a 14-12 victory.
