Council has already received $1 million under the program, taking the total of direct funding to $1,416,667.
The funding is to be used for bushfire recovery only, as it comes under a $17 million fund through the Federal Government's National Bushfire Recovery Agency.
Mr Gee said the impact of these bushfires in the Lithgow local government area have been devastating.
"Homes have been lost, fences on farms are still down and pastures have also been decimated. Businesses have taken a huge hit. The clearing of burnt trees on private properties remains a big issue," he said.

"This funding is designed to help those directly impacted by these bushfires and I'm sure Lithgow City Council will put it to good use.
"They'd no doubt be open to any community suggestions as to how it can be best spent.
"This recovery process is going to be long and hard for many people, but this funding helps give the council the resources it needs to get residents through this very difficult time for our region."
