Police say a man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the Blue Mountains overnight.

According to police, just before 11pm on Thursday, February 13, emergency services were called to Wascoe Street, near Lennox Street, at Glenbrook, following reports a car had crashed into a tree.
The driver, a man believed to be aged in his 40s, was pulled from the vehicle and, despite attempts to revive him, died at the scene.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
He has not been formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
