I don't think Lithgow will get much cheaper than this.
- Bridget Ahern
"It's the cheapest in the region by a long shot," she said.
Ms Ahern said on average people were paying $1.40 in locations such as Bathurst and prices were creeping up out West and in Sydney.
"It'll pay off for motorists if they fill up in Lithgow before heading further out West.
"However fuel prices in regional areas are dropping compared to an increase in Sydney," she said.
"I don't think Lithgow will get much cheaper than this."
Ms Ahern advised motorists to download the NRMA app and check out fuel prices in areas they are travelling to.
"Shop around to find your cheapest option, that 20 cent saving can be decent when filling up a big tank," she said.
