In the major singles Steven Jackson came from 16-8 down to defeat Jeff Howden 31-23 in game one.

In game two Jody Taggart took out the bragging rights as he defeated Jack Whittaker 31-12.

In game three Mark Perry was in great form as he took on and beat George Brawn 32-13.

Game four saw Peter Williams show great form to come from behind to roll Tiger Feltham 31-26.

In game five Craig Pugsley had a good 31-9 win over Steve Gear and then he backed up to defeat Greg Anderson 31-15.

Game six Steve Jackson had too many guns for Pommie Williams winning 33-19.

In the match of the round Ian McMillan played Craig Brown and as expected it was a great game. McMillan was playing great bowls as he got away well to seemingly have the game won when he led 29-10.

Brown got going and fought back to trail 29-30 but McMillan took the game 31-29.

In the pairs we have had several games played with some upset wins involved. Joe Menchin and Mark Perry held off the fast finishing Lance Gillespie and Ron Vidler to win 21-16.

Chris Neaves and Graham Hayley won the ends 14-7 when they defeated last year's champs Craig Brown and Craig Pugsley 20-15.

Jason Nunan and Jason Fraser were too consistent as they beat Tiger Feltham and Greg Anderson 18-15.

Bazza Keygan and Peter Matchett are no bunnies as they took out past champs Bruce Robinson and Ian McMillan.

The good run of Mark Perry and Joe Menchin looked over as they trailed Graham Hayley and Chris Neaves 23-10 with five ends to go.

Perry and Menchin scored 13 shots in four ends to win 26-24.

With the pennants starting soon we need to have the names up as soon as possible and we also require selectors.

The Thursday triples will be on again this week.
