Hartley based photographer Karen Edwards and her friend Margaret van Horen have teamed up to take part in the Mystery Box Rally in August.
The Mystery Box Rally is smaller and shorter than the well-known Sh*tbox Rally, with a twist.
Teams have no idea of where they're headed which means Karen and Margaret are set for a unique adventure across remote Australia, all in a move to raise money for cancer research.
"It's going to be an exciting time driving thousands of kilometres with my best friend," Karen said.
"Margaret said we should jokingly sign up and do this [Mystery Box Rally] ourselves I said yeah we should and we did, we were accepted straight away."
Karen said the reason behind participating in the Mystery Box Rally was due to family and close friends being affected by cancer.
"Margaret had breast cancer...
"The reality is that cancer is no longer someone's friend's mother's brother, it walks among us.
"It's our family members, our friends, our work colleagues, it's right beside us all the time, it's so common," she said.

She said she saw the rally as a great opportunity to raise funds for something that was "really common".
"I'm super excited to be able to do something like this, I like being involved and being able to give back to others," she said.
Karen said the idea of not knowing the exact locations of where they were headed was exciting.
"To be able to actually go into areas of remote Australia that I have never been to will be an amazing opportunity as well," she said.
Karen and Margaret will be driving in a vehicle older than 25 years and worth under $1000 as outlined in the rules.
"We have to raise $3500 before we start the rally and our vehicle will be done up in the Wonder Woman theme," Karen said.
Their vehicle will also have the Southern Cross and Wonder Woman's stars for people to dedicate to those who have been affected by cancer.
"If people want to they can donate and dedicate a star with someone's name on it and we will carry those names with us," Karen said.
"This is for people who have battled and are still battling, they will be riding with us in the stars," she said.
