The event which is to be held on Saturday, February 8 will go ahead in the hope that getting together at a fun community event can help boost the spirits of people in our area.
There will be lots to do and see including art and photography, schoolwork, needlework and handicrafts, cooking, horticulture, fruit and vegetables and wool.
If you are fortunate enough to have flowers or fruit and vegetables please consider entering them in the show, even if you think they aren't good enough.
The show society would really like to have a fantastic display for people to see.
Also on show will be dogs of all kinds, cattle, sheep, goats and horses which will range in size from miniatures to heavy horses.
The heavy horses will be involved in a log snigging demonstration which is always popular.
The under 12 riders who can't compete in the main ring events can try their luck in the Topsy Turvey ring. The yard dogs always draw a crowd as do the ever popular wood choppers.
George will have a couple of rides for the kids.
The students from the Prudence Schwartz School of dance will be on stage from 1.30pm, then a lamb auction will take place at 2pm and the Lithgow City Band will be playing during the day.
The 2020 Rydal Showgirl will be announced at 3.30pm and country music singer Dean Taylor will be on stage after the woodchop and yard dogs are finished.
There will be a guess the weight of the bull competition as well as a variety of stalls, selling art and craft as well as all sorts of nick knacks.
There will be plenty of food available, from a quick snack at the kiosk to a sit down, home made morning or afternoon tea or delicious lunch in the dining room. The bar will be open till 7pm.
The office will be open on Thursday, February 6 from 4 to 8pm and Friday, February 7 from 7 to 10.30am to take competition entries.
All entries need to be in by 10.30am Friday.
