John was a lovely man with an exceptional love of horses he was a part of the course at Lithgow Trotting Club for 16 years which his horse Paleigh and rode in the well known film 'The Man from Snow River' 39 years ago.
When he was just 17 he competed in the Sydney Royal Easter show.
