The street festival is set to take place in Candy Cane Lane, commonly known as Mick Moore Park, in Wolgan Street. The fun will start at 6pm with the first spin of the chocolate wheel.
Portland Business Association Inc. president Andrew Neville said there was something for everyone.
"Besides the chocolate wheel, we also have a jumping castle and games for the kids, some live music, as well as a visit from Santa," he said.
"The local restaurants will also be open for people to be able to enjoy a meal, it will hopefully be a great community night."
The Portland Christmas Festival has offered an event every weekend leading into Christmas.
It kicked off the celebrations of Christmas with the lighting of the town Christmas Tree on December, 1.
The following Saturday a very successful Carols By Glowstick was held in the historic Powerhouse at The Foundations.
"The carols were a great event this year," Mr Neville said.
"It had a real good community feel to them, the entertainment was top class and it was really special being held in the Powerhouse."
Last Saturday, December 14 families were entertained with activities set up in an indoor Candy Cane Lane.
"We had everything from Christmas craft, letter writing to Santa, face painting and hair spraying, Santa photos and then the free movie screening of Home Alone at the Crystal Theatre, thanks to the Portland Film Society," he said.
"It has been a great month of Christmas celebrations in our community."
The Portland Business Association Inc. also received an early Christmas present themselves with Springvale Charity Assistance Club donating $2000 to the Christmas Festival.
"We are truly grateful for the donation," he said.
"A lot of cost goes into running the event each year, so this kind donation will help us continue to build it and make it bigger and better for the community next year.
"It means we can continue spreading Christmas spirit throughout the region."
