Lithgow residents turned out to support the shop local event on Lithgow's Main Street on Thursday, December 5.

The street was alive with cheer and roving performers to celebrate the season and encourage everyone to source some of their Christmas presents in local stores.
Santa and his friends; Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf, a Christmas angel, stilt walkers, Christmas elves, jugglers and acrobats will be spreading the Christmas cheer up and down Main Street, with local businesses remaining open for late-night shopping.
Lithgow City Band, as well as the Lithgow Highland Pipe Band's special Christmas music was on display in Cook Street Plaza, as well as dancers from Sally Anne's Dance Studio before the lead-up to the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Councillor Darryl Goodwin thanked the residents for coming out and supporting the event.
"I hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas and everyone remembers to be safe on the roads these holidays," he said.
