A 46 year-old Bonnyrigg man has been charged after police allegedly located $7000 cash, 7.4 grams of heroin, 24 sim cards and five mobile phones during a search of a Honda sedan on Friday, November 29.

The man was stopped driving on the Great Western Highway near Mount Lambie at 9.20am for expired vehicle registration and tested positive to a roadside drug test.
Police allege the items found in the vehicle were stolen. The man is to face Lithgow Local Court at a later date.

Breaking a total fire ban
A woman was charged for burning off during a total fire ban on Saturday, November 30.
Police and fire brigades responded to smoke in a Blaxland residential area where they found the woman burning off leaves she had raked up rather than using her green bin.
The fire was extinguished and she was issued a $2200 fine.
