Saturday's stroke event by provided a good hit out for what will be a mega weekend of golf starting on Saturday, December 6 with the Short Course Championships sponsored by the 'friends of Grub and Munzo' followed on Sunday by the Westfund Lithgow Open.
Geoff Thompson was the hot golfer during medal day returning a great score of 65 nett.
He dominated B grade by winning the voucher plus the November medal.
It was a good day for Thompson to hit form as he was also playing his semi final with partner Dave Thompson in conjunction with the medal round to knock over Greg Guest and Greg Hunter and make their way into the final of the Cock o' the Walk fourball Championship.
Runner up in B grade was Dave Hicks on 67 nett with Greg Guest posting the best scratch score with a 78.
Ian Downey continued his good form to take out A grade with a 66 nett and also secured the medal as well as the medal from the previous month in what was a four person playoff.
Runner up was the consistent Dave Titcume with 70 nett on a countback and Chris Neville carded the best scratch score with a 70 off the stick.
Neville will be one to watch for the title in Sunday's Lithgow Open.
Gary Marshall made it back to back C grade wins when he carded a 66 nett with his score good enough to gain him the medal.
Runner up on 67 nett was Ken Mitchell who also scored the best scratch score with 89.
Nearest the pins went to Rob Ritchie, Dave Thompson, Justin Nelson, Al Mostyn and Steve Hall.
Wednesday nine hole competition (27/11):
Winner: John Griffiths 26 and runner up was Geoff Dukes 25 points.
Voucher winners were Chris Neville, Mark Willmott,
Glenn Newton, Jeff Geddes and Graeme Dean. Vouchers cut out on 21 ocb.
Nearest to the pins were Don Farnsworth and Dave Duroux.
Friday nine hole competition (29/11):
Winner Jeff Geddes with 24 points.
Voucher winners: Mitch Luka, Brian Giblett and Mark Willmott. Vouchers cut out on 20ocb.
