Residents and staff from Lithgow Aged Care have filled bags with essential items for women in need and dropped them off at Lithgow Bunnings for Share the Dignity's "It's in the bag" initiative.

The initiative began on Friday, November 22 and asks people to fill handbags with essential items and Christmas gifts. The women in need to whom the bags are donated may include those who are homeless or are being subjected to domestic violence.
All Bunnings stores around Australia are involved in the program and the stores act as a drop off point for the bags.
This is the first time that Lithgow Aged Care has been involved in the program.
The aged care residents enjoyed morning tea at Bunnings after delivering the bags.
Currently, 150 bags have been donated and Lithgow Bunnings activity organiser Vanessa Grima expected an added 50 bags within the week.
"It's a really good cause. Every second day a representative from the Share the Dignity campaign picks up the bags," said Ms Grima.
The Lithgow Women's Shed will also be donating bags and dropping them off at the store.
The campaign will conclude Saturday, December 7.
