The Workies women bowlers held their annual Versatility Sixes carnival recently, with 14 teams competing.

Teams came from Majellan, Oberon, Springwood, Lithgow City, Lawson, Penrith, Wallerawang and Lithgow Workmen's Club fielded four teams.
The valley was filled with a smokey haze from the bushfires during the morning making for difficult conditions but cleared away in the afternoon to a clear blue sky making way for some great bowls.
The strong team from Springwood were the winners on the day just edging out Penrith with Lithgow Workies coming in third with Lithgow City filling in fourth place.
Everyone had an enjoyable day with good bowls and friendly rivalry.
