The big month starts on Saturday, December 7 with staging of the short course championships with the prestigious event honouring two of their late members who were extremely popular with everyone, Peter 'Munzo' Newham and Brian 'Grub' Whichelo.
A group of their former playing partners, the Early Morning Golfers, will be sponsoring this event in memory of their late friends.
'Munzo' and 'Grub' were typical of their age group throughout Lithgow who played a multitude of sports with both excelling in rugby league and cricket before turning their hands to golf.
Both are sorely missed with their friends intimating that they will be sponsoring this event in their memory for many years to come.
The following day, December 8, will be the Lithgow Open which will again be sponsored by Westfund.
On Saturday, December 14, the Zig Zag Motel Summer Cup will be staged with the motel the sponsor.
Sunday, December 15 will be Christmas Cheer Day which is always a lot of fun.
The course will be closed for Christmas Day but Boxing Day sees a two person ambrose with a single stableford for those not wishing to play in the ambrose that will kick off at 9am with a shot gun start.
On Saturday, December 28, it will be golfers last chance for the year to secure a monthly medal.
The board would like to thank all their valued sponsors who have supported the club throughout the year and hope to see them on board in 2020.
This Saturday's event will be the popular medal stroke.
