The driver of a hay truck which caught fire on Anarel Road at Sodwalls at about 11.40am was taken to Lithgow hospital with minor injuries.
Fire crews were called to the area after the fire spread from the flaming truck to nearby grass and bushland.
It is currently being controlled and has burned approximately 10 hectares.
EARLIER:
A truck is still burning near Tarana after catching fire this morning.
The blaze spread to nearby grassland and bush.
Crews were called to Anarel Road at approximately 11.40am. It is currently five hectares in size and running uphill up the hill towards Gerrys Meadows Road.
Multiple crews are on site, including Lithgow West Fire and Rescue, with more on the way.
No properties are under immediate threat.
A watch and act alert has been issued by Chifley-Lithgow Rural Fire Service.
Chifley/Lithgow RFS operational officer Gary Hansen urged nearby residents to enact their bushfire survival plans.

Emergency services have been called to Tarana in response to a fire at Sodwalls near Tarana.
The out of control fire is believed to have been started by a vehicle and equipment.
Thursday was declared a total fire ban day due to hot, dry conditions, with temperatures in the Lithgow region passing 30 degrees.
A fire continues to burn out of control near the communities of Glen Davis, Glen Alice and Newnes. The Gospers Mountain fire, which was started by a lightning strike in October, has burned more than 164,000 hectares.
