Police forensic officers have visited the scene of a fire which broke out in Portland on Monday, November 18.

The fire was suspicious, Lithgow Police confirmed on Tuesday.
The fire consumed about a 200m square section of scrub on the corner of Ridge and Laurie Streets on Monday after the fire began just before 11am.
Multiple calls were made to triple zero as nearby residents saw the flames spread. It was quickly extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Service crews.
Police canvased the area following the fire and there were reported sightings of people in the vicinity at the time the fire was lit.
Anyone with information about the fire has been urged to contact Lithgow or Portland Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Police will be keeping an eye on suspicious activities in bushland during this period of very high fire danger.
