According to Lithgow basketball Association president Richard Marjoram the season was a very successful one which saw an increase in playing numbers.
Every team in the grand finals gave it their all and performed with great sportsmanship which we have come to expect from our junior teams, Marjoram said.
"It was a very good game of basketball with everyone giving 110 percent, there really wasn't much in it," he said.
"Lightening really weren't that far away and Flames played really, really well."

Marjoram thanked Alex Flynn and Hayden Rodham for doing the refereeing for the match.
"We can't play without referees and these two did a fantastic job," he said.
He also thanked David Swift who ran the girls competition in 2019.
"We probably wouldn't have girls playing if it wasn't for him," he said.
"I hope to see all the girls come back next year and since most of them are participating in the rep squad so I wish them all the best and hope they enjoy their rep season."
