Willmott said she was excited to get stuck into coaching the league tag girls.
"This will be my first time coaching league tag but I'm confident that I know how to help this team grow with the game," she said.
Willmott has been playing with the Wolves since the second year league tag was introduced in Lithgow.
"I was pregnant the first year, so I have played for seven years except for another year off in 2012 due to extending our family some more," she said.
Willmott said she hoped to build the confidence of the girls in her side.
"I also want to put the Workies as a dominant side in the competition," she said.
Willmott already has goals in sight for the 2020 side.
"I'm definitely aiming for a top three finish, with only making the semi's a couple of time and getting knocked out in the first semi each time, our goals to go further are in clear sight," she said.
At this stage Willmott will continue to play with the side as well as coach it.
"We will see how the year pans out before I decide if I'll coach again after next season," she said.
"The amount of support and confidence the girls have been showing me is great."
According to Willmott the interest she has had in the side has been incredible.
"We are aiming to have a huge year ahead, I have already had interest off a couple of talented ladies that have had a couple of years off so that is going to boost the team immensely," she said.
"We have also had a couple of new interested players along with the core group from last year, so we are looking good early."
Willmott said if any ladies would like to know more or just want to chat about what the side is like, they can contact her or the manager Tanya Boza.
Willmott will also be meeting and signing ladies up for the competition for the next couple of Monday afternoons from 5-6pm at Tony Luchetti Oval.
