The event featured competitions for Highland dancers, Pipe Bands and Highland Games events.
Local Highland dancers, Samara Kirkland, Abbey and Ella Taylor and Mia Healey from the Lithgow Thistle Highland Dancers competed at the Spectacular, bringing home a number of trophies.
"The standard of competition at the Central Coast Scottish Spectacular was fantastic and the Lithgow dancers performed exceptionally well," Fiona Clarke, head teacher at Lithgow Thistle Highland Dance company, said.
Abbey Taylor, who has just moved into premier level, performed amazingly well to take out an overall third place in the NSW State Championships for under 11's and several other dance placings.
Her sister Ella, received her first Intermediate Title, with four first places, three seconds, and one third place.
Mia Healey secured a 1st place in the Scottish Lilt, a second place in the Sword and a third place in the Seann Truibhas, Flora and Fling.
Samara Kirkland took out her first 1st place win in the beginners Sword dance and a fourth in the Highland Fling. A great effort!
Kelsie Clarke, teacher at Lithgow Thistle Highland Dancers, who has just returned from a dancing tour in Scotland, was impressed with the haul of medals her dancers bought home.
"I am so pleased with the results that Abbey, Ella, Mia and Samara achieved. 2020 looks like it will be a fabulous year for the competition team from Lithgow Thistle Highland Dancers."
