Dogs walkers running their animals over the turf wickets has caused damage at Conran Oval, Lithgow District Cricket Association reported on Thursday, October 31. Lithgow Lightning representative Ben Sheehan said it was very disappointing to see the damage caused while the oval gates were locked. "Lithgow Council put time into these wickets for the local competition and rep games, only to be torn up by irresponsible dog owners," the club posted on its Facebook page on Thursday morning. "Please keep off the wickets at Conran and the Showground and use the dog parks provided around town."
